resume.travistubbs.net - Online Version of Resume now online

After researching and attempting to find any and all of my previous projects, I can finally bring my resume online! Just head on over to:

http://resume.travistubbs.net/

Right now, just the basic details are available. A downloadable PDF version is in the works, but this is a start. I am still fine-tuning it with advice from others, so changes are bound to happen.

To help protect the privacy of myself and others, personal information that is not publicly available (such as contact information of references) are not available in the online version of the resume. If you are an employer or work with the human resources department of a company and would like to review a complete resume, please contact me at resume@travistubbs.net.

travistubbs.net Throughout the Years

As part of working on my online resume, I've been working on finding every previous web design project I've done. This is just a small sampling of the various design changes my own personal web site has gone through throughout the years. (There's about another 10 revisions not shown yet.)

Resume Title Designs (Comments and Opinions Requested)

I am currently working on posted my resume on the web. Now, I could just post a PDF, but I figured since I have the power of the web in my hands, I might as well make it a little more interactive. I'll talk about that more in a later post.

For now, I'm looking for opinions, comments, thoughts, opinions, etc. on titling my previous work experience. This is one that's been bugging me for a good part of the day, so I figured I'd ask my friends (and the web) for their thoughts.

Below are four different designs I'm considering. I'm just having a hard time deciding which would be the most effective and easiest on the eyes.

Which do you think would be the best? 1, 2, 3, or 4? Or do you have any other ideas? Let me know what you think. Would appreciate it!

Boxee Application Development Posts Moved

Those that came to this site looking for posts about the ABC News Local and GameTrailers.com RSS Boxee applications will now find them on my new projects web site, InternalServer.net. Anything related to these projects, other Boxee applications I create, or any other project I'm working on will now be located on that site.

This site will now be strictly for me to ramble on about who-knows-what.

Reintroducing travistubbs.net and Introducing InternalServer.net

After building a couple of Boxee applications, it made me feel really good and have a little more confidence in myself. It also got me thinking.

Since I am currently unemployed, I don't have a lot of money coming in (read as: NO money is coming in). This means I am having to put myself out there on the market, one that is rather crowded. I am going to be having to convince employers I would be a valuable asset to them. Most employers are pretty tech savvy now and will look up anything and everything about you on the web.

As this would most likely be the case, I decided I need to be able to showcase my talents to potential employers. Instead of putting my talents on my personal web site, I decided it needed its own web site. Thus, InternalServer.net was born.

Now, I had already owned the domain internalserver.net and used it to test things on internal servers. Most recently, I used the domain to start hosting my Boxee applications. I figured if I was going to be using it to host Boxee applications, I might as well open it up and use it to showcase all my talents.

I have done a lot of projects, web sites, and more in the past, but I never actually kept record of those projects. As no record was kept, it would make things a bit tougher to show others what I've done. This should be a problem no more.

While I was at it, I went ahead and redesigned travistubbs.net. Although it's going to be a separate site from InternalServer.net, I felt it needed a good cleaning up as well.

So, there ya go, kids. One new web site and one new redesigned web site. Now that those are done, time to get to work on some other projects.

Boxee Application Update: ABC News Local - Day 3.5

NOTE: You can also follow my progress of this app on the Boxee forums - http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?p=84633

I got a little impatient. Maybe it's just excitement from this app visually coming together. I know I still have a long road ahead, but I couldn't wait to get the next part of this app going.
