To follow up on the previous post, we spoke to our neighbor some more after the Comcast technician left his house. The reason we had lost our cable signal completely was due to the fact that the technician disconnected our cable. Why? It would seem that our house feeds the cable signal to the rest of the houses down our street. For some reason or another, while working on our neighbor’s house, the cable box outside his home was actually shocking the technician! From what we gathered, the tech informed our neighbor that the equipment outside our house and his house it outdated and would need to be replaced. Also, there appears to be some possible overheating issues with the box outside our house, which may be the reason why the signal only drops between Noon and 6 pm.
