This one may seem a bit silly to add as a project, but considering how much time I put into this, I think it’s worth showing off. It also allowed me to learn a lot about Final Cut Pro, Motion, and DVD Studio Pro.
This project took game play footage from the following Kingdom Hearts games and edited it down to be a consistent movie for later viewing:
In addition to editing down the footage, personal DVDs were made that included added menus, chapters, and additional footage.
Although Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II were pretty straight forward in story, Chain of Memories and Birth by Sleep were a bit more difficult due to the way the game is played and the timeline of events. Those two games are played one character at a time with interweaving stories. Chain of Memories was the easier of the two as I just needed to cut the right scene into the right spot in the timeline. Birth by Sleep presented a bigger challenge as the three characters in the game cross each other’s path often and interact with one another. This meant some scenes were played out more than once from a different viewpoint.
