Another Comcastic Experience: How Comcast Offers But Doesn't Offer The Basic Service You Pay For

Update: It appears visiting a Comcast rep in person isn't any better than talking to one on the phone or in a chat. Even though there were supposedly notes on our account about which package we wanted to switch to, the local Comcast rep signed us up for the incorrect package (Digital Starter + HBO for 6 months on contract instead of Digital Starter + Starz for 6 months without a contract) AND also added on Encore without our consent (Encore is an additional $10/month). Unacceptable is an understatement.

Comcast. When seeing or hearing the cable giant's name, you just know something negative will follow afterwards. This is no different. Like many cities across this country, Comcast is removing channels from their analog spectrum and moving them to digital to free up bandwidth. That I can understand, but when you start doing so without offering existing customers the option to see the channels they're paying for, it's unfair and evil.
